Herend anniversary exhibition at Lenck Villa in Sopron

A new anniversary exhibition of Herend Porcelain Manufactory opened at the Lenck Villa in Sopron as part of the Sopron Design Week.

The exhibition presents the two-hundred-year history and most beautiful works of the world-famous Herend porcelain. The exhibition was opened by Dr. Attila Simon, CEO of Herend Porcelain Manufactory Ltd., highlighting that Herend porcelain is present in more than sixty countries worldwide, is a well-known and recognized brand on every continent, and plays a decisive role in building Hungary’s image. Herend has strong traditional roots, and is also an extremely innovative community, which is also confirmed by the hundreds of new works produced every year. Herend offers suitable products for every age group and every home. In addition to traditions, the excellent quality, the infinity of porcelain colours and the cultural mission have also been contributing to the success of the Manufactory. At the exhibition, visitors can discover the most special masterpieces of the two hundred years of Herend porcelain within the walls of the Lenck Villa with a long history.

 

Prior to the opening of the exhibition, the President of Sopron Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the CEO of Herend Porcelain Manufactory paid tribute to the memory of Vince Stingl, a native of Sopron and the founder of Herend Porcelain Manufactory in 1826, in front of his birthplace.
