For placing an order in the Webshop of Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra Zrt. – hereinafter: vendor – (8440 Herend, Kossuth L. u. 140. Company registration number: 19-10-500050 – Veszprémi Törvényszék Cégbírósága. Tax number: 11323185-2-19, bank account number: MKB Bank Nyrt. HU63 1030 0002 4371 4177 0000 3285) –, the customer must accept all provisions set forth in these General Terms and Conditions as well as the Data Protection Regulations pertaining to the entire homepage of Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra Zrt.
To accept these conditions, the customer must click on the “Accept General Terms and Conditions and Data Protection Regulations” buttons. The vendor and the customer of the Webshop of Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra Zrt. shall enter into an electronic purchase contract, which shall become effective upon acceptance of the General Terms and Conditions and the Data Protection Regulations. The data provided shall be electronically retained by the vendor.
Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra Zrt. retains the right to cancel the purchase contract if its current inventory does not permit the execution of the specific purchase intention. If the ordered product/s is/are in stock, the delivery time is 10-30 days depending on the destination country. If Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra Zrt. does not have stock of the ordered product/s, the expected production and delivery time is 10-16 weeks.
In the Webshop of Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra Zrt., payments can be made by advance bank transfer and electronic payment. The electronic payment system is provided by OTP Bank and PayPal for our customers. In the case of electronic payment, the purchase price will be debited from the customer’s bank account.
The bank’s payment system immediately returns a message to the customer indicating the success or the failure of the debit transaction. In case of a successful transaction, a vendor staff member shall contact the customer within 24 hours to coordinate further details.
If the payment method is advance bank transfer and the amount is not received in the bank account of Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra Zrt. within 3 business days, the order will be cancelled.
The VAT content of the invoice depends on the laws of the country receiving the goods.
Way of delivery:
The most convenient method is to have the product(s) delivered to the specific address by a courier service. The shipping address and the billing address may be different.
The courier service undertakes to deliver the undamaged package including the invoice.
The shipping cost is 6000 HUF per package in case of delivery inside Hungary.
The shipping cost is 15% of the purchase price but minimum 20000 HUF per package in case of delivery inside Europe. The shipping cost is 18% of the purchase price but minimum 25000 HUF per package in case of delivery outside Europe.
Along with the price of the product(s), the shipping cost will also be debited from the customer’s bank account and in the case of an advance bank transfer, the amount to be transferred will include the price of the product(s) and the shipping cost.
By accepting the General Terms and Conditions, the customer declares that they know the import regulations of the destination country and the addressee bears all costs when entering the package to the destination country.
If the addressee refuses to reimburse the freight forwarder for the import costs and the freight forwarder charges these back to Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra Zrt., then Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra Zrt. is entitled to collect the amount from the customer by debiting the customer’s credit card.
In accordance with the prevailing legislation, the vendor undertakes a warranty and guarantee commitment. Upon receipt, the customer shall ascertain whether the package is undamaged. If the package is damaged, a record shall be drawn up, and in case of a Hungarian address the package shall be returned to 8440 Herend, Kossuth u. 140. The vendor agrees to provide a refund or replacement for purchased products only if there is evidence that the product(s) was/were damaged at the time of receipt and that the product(s) had been damaged before its receipt.
The vendor is unable to accept complaints about damages, quality deficiencies or product warranty in respect of the products already received unless there is evidence that the damage or deficiency could not have been detected upon receipt of the specific product(s). The vendor shall receive potential complaints at its Customer Service (8440 Herend, Kossuth u. 140.) within 3 business days of receipt.
Following the order but before delivery, the customer has a right to cancel the purchase. A request to that effect may be submitted either by e-mail (info@herend.com) or by phoning the Customer Service (Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra Zrt. 8440 Herend, Kossuth L. u. 140.; phone: +36-88-523-204, 8 am to 2 pm CET on business days). In this case the customer will not be charged any expenses.
Within 14 business days of the receipt of the product(s), the customer has the right to cancel the purchase. The customer shall indicate the intention to cancel in a written notice to the Hungarian Sales Department of Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra Zrt. (8440 Herend, Kossuth L. u. 140. or info@herend.com). In this case the vendor shall repay the purchase price already paid by the customer immediately, but no later than within 14 days of the return of the product(s), without any obligation to pay interest. Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra Zrt. can hold back the full amount paid by the customer until the customer returns the product(s) or undoubtedly proves the return of the product(s). The direct cost of returning the product(s) is borne by the customer.
Please make sure that you accept undamaged packages only. In every case, the courier will make you sign a proof of receipt in which you acknowledge that the package is undamaged at the time of receipt. If you experience any problem, please request that a record should be drawn up.
The use of all personal information collected by the vendor shall be governed by the general data protection regulations. Personal information shall be used in accordance with the effective provisions of the Data Protection Act. The protection of your personal data is a priority for Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra Zrt. and its partners. The collection and processing of the required identifying personal data when using our website complies with the Hungarian data protection regulations in force (Act CXII / 2011).
Vendor shall store customers’ data solely for the purpose of fulfilling orders and as a subsequent proof of purchasing circumstances, for providing the newsletter requested by the customer, and for marketing purposes.
Transfer of data to third parties is strictly limited to the cases where the use of such data by a subcontractor third party is essential for the fulfilment of the purchase order and the execution of the subcontractor’s subtasks associated with the purchase. Even in those cases no data may be transferred other than those essential for the execution of the specific subtask.
Moreover, data may be disclosed in response to official inquiries based on a legislative provision when the vendor is subject to mandatory data reporting. Likewise, any subcontractors engaged shall be legally bound by the provisions of the Data Protection Act.

Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra Zrt. does not submit itself to the Act XLVII 2§ i) / 2008 of Code of Conduct.
Vendor may not be held liable for any errors, inconveniences, direct or indirect damages inflicted by the technical (hardware, software) or communications (internet) infrastructure used in the course of connecting to the Webshop of Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra Zrt., regardless of whether they arise from the ordinary or extraordinary operations of the server or the client side.
Vendor retains the right to modify, without cause, any information located in the Webshop of Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra Zrt. (including these General Terms and Conditions), thus, for instance, including the products, the product descriptions or the regular or sales prices of the products. Since all information relating to the Webshop of Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra Zrt. is publicly available, the vendor may not be held liable for any errors, inconveniences, direct or indirect damages arising from a lack of knowledge regarding the prevailing information.
We strive to compile and disclose all data and information displayed on the website of Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra Zrt. with the utmost care and repeated verifications. Nevertheless, we cannot exclude the possibility of displaying, from time to time, erroneous or deficient data on our website due to editorial mistakes or other reasons. In any other cases not controlled in these General Terms and Conditions shall be applied the relevant provisions of the prevailing Hungarian legislation between vendor and customer when purchasing from the Webshop. In case of a dispute, depending on the value of the object in dispute, shall have the Veszprémi Járásbíróság (Veszprém District Court) and the Veszprémi Törvényszék (Veszprém Regional Court) exclusive jurisdiction; vendor and customer stipulate the exclusive jurisdiction of these courts.
