Ambassadors of European Parliament visit Herend

Ambassadors of the European Parliament from 27 member states visited Herend.
The delegation was welcomed by Dr. Attila Simon, CEO of the Herend Porcelain Manufactory. The event was part of a three-day visit to Hungary, during which the ambassadors visited several cities, including Budapest, Veszprém, Tihany, Herend, Hévíz, Balatonfüred, and Zalaegerszeg.
During the visit in Herend, the ambassadors viewed the famous Minimanufactory and the Porcelain Museum, and visited the Apicius Café, where they had coffee from cups with Victoria pattern.
In his welcoming speech, Dr. Attila Simon emphasized the international reputation and recognition of the Herend Porcelain Manufactory as well as the importance of Hungarian craftsmanship and tradition. During the visit, the ambassadors had the opportunity to get a glimpse of the master techniques of porcelain making and to learn about the history and activities of the Manufactory.
The visit was successful and contributed to the strengthening of diplomatic and cultural relations between the European Union and Hungary.
